Our Groomer, Amy Herrlein, has more than twenty years personal experience of all-breed grooming. This expertise provides her valuable insight into the special needs and temperaments of the pets she grooms. Not only does Amy know the "look" that is correct for your pet, she also is fully prepared to handle any "challenge" which the pet may provide either in coat condition or health of the coat.

Amy began her grooming career by grooming our "in-house" pets while they were boarding here with us. In time, the demand for her grooming exceeded the time allowed for just "in-house" clients so now Amy has devoted her full attention to just grooming and has expanded here clientele to the public offering appointments to those not staying in the kennel. Over the years Amy has groomed everything from Yorkies to Newfoundlands and everything in between!

Amy's focus is making sure each dog's experience is a good one! From breed grooms to functional comfort clips, jack russell bathes to Gt. Pyrenees comb-outs, no grooming requirement is too demanding for Amy to accomplish.

While show grooming and hand stripping are not offered, we do offer high quality pet grooming with special attention to each pet's needs!

Bathing

Wakefield Kennel offers bathing services for dogs: regular and medicated baths, flea and tick treatments, nail clipping, and anal gland checks, etc. In our specially equipped facilities, we'll take your pet from tub to towel.-- no fuss, no muss!

Nail Trimming

Nails are trimmed whenever pets are bathed at Wakefield Kennel. However, this service can be performed between regular grooming appointments. No appointment is necessary during regular hours.

What A Bath Includes

Every pet groomed has its nails cut, pads trimmed, ears cleaned, bathed using our specially formulated Fresh ‘N Clean Scented Shampoo, blown dry, cologne and bows. When your pet is styled (clipped), then the hair on the body is trimmed.

Medicated Shampoos

If your pet is suffering from Seborrhea, advanced Seborrhea or Flea-Bite Dermatitis, we can recommend and apply a special medicated shampoo.

Coat Conditioners & Shampoos

During your pet's bath we can apply a conditioner to it's coat to add luster and sheen. In addition to enhancing the appearance of the coat a conditioner will add essential oils to the hair and skin.
