We here at
the kennel are very understanding of the special needs of
our Geriatric pets. While we are more than willing to care
for your aged or aging pet, owners must understand that
there are special needs surrounding the boarding of such
pets.
Because of
such needs, the staff and management reserve the right to
evaluate older pets and the appropriateness of boarding
them.
When older
pets need additional personal care our staff is here to
provide to your pet's needs. We will, however, add an additional
charge for such services.
Examples
of Geriatric Care:
1- Physical
Assistance: i.e. manually assisting in the movement
and exercise of aged pets.
2- Special
Dietary Needs: i.e. cooking or preparing unusual diets
for the geriatric patient.
3- Hygienic
Special Needs: i.e. cleaning and caring for older pets
whose house training suffers from old age syndromes.
We thank you
for your understanding and we hope that if you have any
questions regarding your geriatric pet's needs that you
contact us personally.
